MUMBAI : Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon has recently started and it has already captivated the hearts of the audience.

Sumbul Touqeer plays the role of IAS Officer Kavya who is married to an IPS officer. The story revolves around Kavya who makes many sacrifices for her career.

The show is produced by DJ’s – A Creative Unit, which has been active in the industry for more than 20 years, and has been the name behind some of the biggest shows like ‘Just Mohabbat’, ‘Left Right Left’, ‘Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin’, ‘Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi’, ‘Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahan’, ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’, ‘Chotti Bahu’, ‘Sumit Sambhal Lega’, and more.

There are many other actors who will contribute to the show and the storyline and one of them is well-known actor, Govind Pandey who is known for his stint in Bollywood movies such as PK, Hindi Medium, Fan and many more.

In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, Govind shared his experience shooting for the show.

Govind mentioned, “I have had an excellent experience shooting for the show. The lead cast – Mishkat Varma and Sumbul Touqeer are also very good and respectful towards me. There are times I also give them acting tips based on my experience in the industry and teach them little nuances in case they miss out. Sometimes, retakes happen to capture the shot from different angles and at this time, there are some dialogues which come out in impulse. I feel it helps improvise the scenes.

When asked how shooting for a television soap is different than Hindi films, Govind shares, “Well, a film or a webseries has maximum one or two scenes a day and the location changes. WE have more time to prepare for the role as we have the script well in advance and can think of the various ways we can deliver the dialogues.

This is not the case with TV. The medium operates very differently and there is a deadline. There are times I have shot for 11 scenes a day! There is limited time and actors have to be very quick in remembering the lines.”

He further added, “TV does groom potential film aspirants at many technical levels to work faster and efficiently.”
