MUMBAI: Holi, a festival of colours, is celebrated every year on the full moon date of Falgun month, and this year it is falling on 25th March 2024. This occasion primarily serves as a harvest festival signifying the conclusion of winter and the advent of spring. People ignite a nighttime bonfire the night before Holi to commemorate Holika Dahan, an event that signifies the victory of good over evil. On the occasion of this festival, Zee TV actors like Yesha Rughani from Rabb Se Hai Dua, and Nikki Sharma from Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya ShivShakti shared how they used to celebrate this festival in their childhood times, and how they are planning to celebrate it this year. 

Nikki Sharma, who essays the role of Shakti in Zee TV’s Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya ShivShakti said, “Every year, I celebrate Holi with my mother and this year too, we have planned to visit Holi parties here in the city with a few cast members of my show ‘Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya ShivShakti.  I love Holi so much because it’s about applying rang on your friends and having fun with loved ones. I wish everyone a very happy and colourful Holi and request them to use colours that are not harmful!”

Yesha Rughani who essays the role of Ibaadat in Zee TV’s Rabb Se Hai Dua said, “To me, this festival means lots of delicious food like Gujhiya, Dahi Wada, and Malpua, along with beautiful colours. We all know that it’s the festival of colors, however, we all should also know that consent is very important, to use the colors on anyone. Furthermore, we all should be considerate towards animals, and ensure that we don’t color them, or trouble them. In case we come across anyone who does that, we should certainly stop them. Lastly, I would like to wish you all a very happy Holi! I wish the colours of happiness and joy stay forever in your life.”
