Vishal Kotian

Vishal Kotian, who started with comedy shows on television and moved on to do mythological shows and negative roles, is now set to feature in a comedy, this time as Akbar's witty Birbal. He says, "Comedy, specially in fiction shows is not as explored on television. I was offered stand-up comedy shows, but turned them down as I was busy with other commitments. A comic fiction show is challenging, as very few such shows have worked. Also, few actors do comedy well. While many actors get typecast as comedians, I think I've been able to play a variety of roles."
