Halla Ho

MUMBAI: After it created a strong impact with the trailer, fans were eagerly waiting for 200 - Halla Ho. Finally, the movie is out on ZEE5. It throws light on caste discrimination and the fight of Dalit women. It is directed by Sarthak Dasgupta and features talented actors like Amol Palekar, Rinku Rajguru, Barun Sobti, Sahil Khattar, Saloni Batra, Upendra Limaye, Flora Saini, and Indraneil Sengupta in the lead roles.

The story of the movie revolves around the injustice happening with Dalit women over time and how a brutal murder occurred inside a court and what led to that event.

The screenplay is very strong and keeps you hooked to your seats. The direction given by Sarthak Dasgupta is good, and the storytelling of the event that occurred is well portrayed.

Talking about the performances, every actor in the movie is a treat to watch. Amol Palekar will surely make you emotional with his strong acting. He is one of the USPs of the movie. On the other hand, Rinku Rajguru as a strong Dalit woman will surely impress you with her screen presence and acting. Barun Sobti, Saloni Batra, Upendra Limaye, Flora Saini, and Indraneil Sengupta were decent in their parts, but the performance delivered by Sahil Khattar is one of the highlights. The actor is in a never seen before avatar and has made his strong impact with his acting debut.

Talking about the positive points of the movie, the screenplay as mentioned earlier is one of the strong positives. The dialogues by almost every character add value, and the concept and will surely give you goosebumps. Sahil Khattar is one of the major USPs, and you will see some different shades of the actor. The performance delivered by Amol Palekar is also a treat to watch. The BGM of the movie too will enhance your viewing experience.

The negative points can be that the movie looks a little slow in between. The love angle between Barun and Rinku’s character looks forceful and not required.

Having said that, 200 - Halla Ho is a must watch because of its solid performances and the message towards the end.

Team TellyChakkar goes with 3.5/5 stars for 200 - Halla Ho.
