MUMBAI: Jad Hadid rose to fame with his stint in Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 where his game was liked by the audience and hence he survived the game for seven weeks.
He grabbed the headlines for his feelings and kiss with Akansha Puri and his closeness with Jiya Shankar. But the UAE model did get along with everyone in the house including Bebika with whom he had a tiff at the beginning of the show.
He was also pulled by Salman Khan during the “Weekend Ka Vaar” for his behavior with Bebika but then he apologized and was back in the game.
Finally, he was evicted owing to fewer votes just a week before the finale and hence he couldn’t be the finalist of the show.
Post his eviction, TellyChakkar got in touch with Jad and asked him about the controversy surrounding his kiss with Akansha and what he has to say about his bond with Manisha Rani.
How was your experience in the Bigg Boss House?
It was an amazing journey, a beautiful experience full of excitement, challenges, lots of ups and downs and it was a roller coaster ride.
How did you get the offer from Bigg Boss?
I was planning to come to India, to explore this place and to get connected through work, and the Bigg Boss offer came as a surprise to me, it was shocking. I had to give interviews for three–four days. I had to apply for a visa and then straight away entered the house. It was an opportunity that I got on a silver platter and my manager trusted me that I would do well and go a long way and she told me to be myself.
What do you have to say about your bond with Manisha Rani?
It was a cute–flirty bond. I told her she is a cute and a loving person, but the flirting at some point was bothering me. I knew she was doing it with fun and she has a clean heart and it wasn’t that she was looking for a relationship, but then sometimes I wonder if I was doing that how it would look and how it would be taken.
Do you think the kiss controversy was blown out of promotion?
I have pure feelings for Akansha. We have great memories in the house. We connected on a level and that kiss combined everything, it was stupid of me to say that she was a bad kisser. Honestly, I was blown away and I was taken somewhere else for at least twenty seconds. I saw that video, and said it was remarkable and if I could go back in time, I would not do it for thirty seconds but would do it for thirty minutes.
Well, there is no doubt Jad was a good player on Bigg Boss and the audience liked him hence he came this far, it’s unfortunate that he got evicted just one week before the finale.
