MUMBAI: Ranvir Shorey is an Indian actor and former VJ who works in Hindi films and television.

Since making his debut in Ek Chhotisi Love Story, he has starred in a number of high-profile films such as Jism and Lakshya, Ek Tha Tiger etc.

The actor has entered the Bigg Boss as one of the contestants of the show and the fans are looking forward to his game.

Before entering the show TellyChakkar got in touch with Ranvir and asked him the reason why he is doing the show and also on Anil Kapoor being the host of the show.

Bigg Boss is a tough show. What made you say 'Yes' to the show? Did you have any reservations in doing the show when it was offered to me?

Every  year I have been getting  the offer of Bigg Boss but then for some or the other reason things didn’t materialize or I was in not in frame of mind to do it and this time my son is going for one month for a vacation with his mother to the USA and I didn’t have much work and hence I thought I could do the show. The second reason is I needed a detox from screens as everything is about it so I was just tired of scrolling on social media and I thought I would get a break from it until I am in the Bigg Boss house and I am hoping to get something out of the show.

This time not Salman Khan but Anil Kapoor will be hosting the show, so how nervous are you considering how he would react to things during Weekend Ka Vaar?

If Salman Khan was hosting I would have been happy as I have worked with him before and it would have worked with me as a contestant.  But Anil sir is a legend and a charming person and he brings a youthness and I am excited to interact with him.

The biggest challenge in the house at times is the limited food, ration etc, how are you going to deal with these challenges?

Limited food will be a challenge I am aware of. They won’t make us starve and they are not calling us to kill us.

Well, it will be interesting to see Ranvir Shorey as the contestant of the show.
