MUMBAI:  After getting lots of love from the fans of the movie franchise Commando, filmmaker Vipul Shah is back with the Commando project. But this time, he goes the OTT way. The series Commando has been the subject of conversation when the trailer was out. It marks the acting debut of Prem as the Commando, which has Adah Sharma as the lead as well. Finally, the show has hit the OTT platform Disney plus Hotstar, and here is the complete review of the series.

The story deals with the operation where Commando Virat has to extract his fellow Commando, who has been kidnapped by the enemies. They are the ones who are planning to attack with a new kind of a biological weapon. Here, the Commando has to stop this mission at the same time.

The premise of the series lacks freshness and the storyline is predictable. But, the direction is good and its action is the life of the series. Also, the location's which are covered are beautiful.

Indeed, it is a perfect debut project of Prem. From the trailer itself, he was looking very promising and has actually carried the entire series on his shoulders. The actor is very promising and can be the next action hero of Indian cinema. On the other hand, we always find Bhavna Reddy very cute, played by actress Adah Sharma. The actress' few witty one liners will make you laugh. On the other hand, Shreya Chaudhary, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Mukesh Chhabra and Shaji Chaudhary were decent on their part and added well to the series.

Talking about the positive points of the series, it has to be the action. The action is the life of the series and the sequences are shot beautifully, especially the action performed by Prem and Adah Sharma together, which is fun to watch. On the other hand, actor Prem as the new Commando brings freshness on-screen, he looks handsome. Actress Adah Sharma always add well as Bhavna Reddy and she will surely make you laugh. The BGM of the series surely adds value and enhances your viewing experience.

Having said all that, there are a few negative points as well. The series lacks originality. We have seen a premise like this in different Bollywood movies and OTT shows. The dialogues of the series are poor. Being a series made on the subject of patriotism, dialogues should have been powerful. There are a few scenes which are made on the bases of VFX and CGI, which are clearly visible. It should have been done in a better way. The cartoonish finishing disrupts our series viewing experience.

Well, over all, series Commando is surely a must watch, only if you are an action lover and have been a fan of the Commando franchise earlier. Otherwise, it has nothing new to offer.

Tellychakkar goes with 2.5/5 for Commando.
