MUMBAI: Actor Ashish Verma in this exclusive interview with Tellychakkar.com, talks about his upcoming web series Unpaused: Naya Safar. The actor speaks about why this show is special for him, the response he has been getting for Atrangi Re, and the time when he first saw himself on a hoarding.
Your favorite moments while shooting for the show?
There was no one particular moment that was special for me. This project is special for me because the show has been made by my batchmate from FDI. Director Ruchir Arun and I started our career together at FDI. He shot his first short film with me in the institute. And after that, we got a chance to collaborate on Amazon’s web series Unpaused: Naya Safar. So this is a very special project for both of us.
Tell us the response you have been getting for Atrangi Re?
Whatever projects I have done in the past have been very close to my heart. Anand L Rai sir was one of the directors on my bucket list with whom I wanted to work for a long time. I got a chance to collaborate with him in Atrangi Re. I am getting a huge level of appreciation from the audience, directors, and writers for the film. The film has been the most viewed across all the platforms. I have never gotten the mass level appreciation before which I have been receiving for Atrangi Re. So I am very grateful to everyone.
Tell us, about your fondest memory from childhood?
When I got my admission in Film and Television institution, that was the proudest moment for me. I was 20 years of age when I got admission.
First time when you see yourself in hoardings or Newspaper?
I have done a Vodafone ad, and that ad’s hoarding was at the bus stand. Even though I had a car; I went on and sat at the bus stand, so that people can notice me after looking at that hoarding.
