MUMBAI: Sachin Khedekar in this exclusive interview with TellyChakkar speaks about his upcoming web series The Whistleblower. The actor talks about his character in the web series, one character he always wished to do on screen, and whether he watches his own projects. Take a look.
Tell us about your character in The Whistleblower?
I’m playing the character of Dr. Ashwin. He is a family man; he is also the owner of a college. He is a very honest man and he wishes that others be like him. But things change when his son gets involved in a controversy and how his social, business, and family life get affected is the story of The Whistleblower.

One character that you always wanted to do?
When I was doing theater, I always wanted to do Shylock’s role from The Merchant of Venice, but I think I have to wait for more 10 years to look like him. And on television, because it is a largely viewed medium, I also wish to do a role where I can play a happy man’s character on a show.
Any of your characters that you felt was difficult to play on screen?
In the Marathi film Marumba, I played a role of a father, who is a happy person but then something wrong happens to his daughter and the situation changes him into a completely different man.
Do you watch your own projects?
Yes, an actor can easily find out whether the character he played on screen has been good or not. When an actor feels that his performance was not good, then he doesn’t wish to see his work. But now I have understood that if I have to improve my craft, then I have to watch my work and improve..
