There are areas where you know there are no paparazzi

MUMBAI :Rakul Preet Singh has some interesting projects lined up and one of them is I Love You. The film, which also stars Pavail Gulati, is slated to premiere on Jio Cinema soon.

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Rakul and spoke to her about I Love You, paparazzi and more...

While the title is I Love You, the movie looks like a twisted romance. So, when you read the script and heard the title for the first time, what was your reaction?

I think we read the script before we heard the title. Actually, it was there as a working title and I loved the script. I thought it was a twisted romance; it’s a romantic-thriller if we want to put it in a genre, and I loved it instantly.

On YouTube, there’s a line written below your trailer, “Pyaar hoga toh surprises bhi honge hee. But what if those surprises turn into shocks?” Have you ever faced shocks and surprises in your relationship?

Yes, I think shock as in; a lie is also a shock. If you catch someone’s lie even that is a shock.

As an actor, your personal life is always under scanner and paparazzi are always there to spot you. So, do you miss the kind of privacy you would want in your relationship and do you feel that it’s an invasion of privacy?

Of course, sometimes, but then you know where to go where there won’t be any paparazzi and sometimes when you do step out areas like Bandra, you can’t avoid them and it’s fine, they are doing their job and when we are out it's fine. Invasion is coming into homes which I feel the paps have been recently very sensible about doing that. But yes, if someone completely comes into your house and starts taking pictures that’s invasion. But, otherwise we are going out to a restaurant that can’t be avoided, and there are areas where you know there are no paparazzi.

I Love You will premiere on Jio Cinema on 16th June 2023.
