EXCLUSIVE: I wanted to be a mountaineer; acting was never a part of the plan: Gyan Prakash on his journey

Actor Gyan Prasad, who is known for projects like Ajeeb Daastaans and Mimi, spoke to TellyChakkar with regard to his acting journey and shared what he looks for before signing any project.

MUMBAI: Gyan Prakash has been impressing fans over time with his acting contribution. We have seen some amazing characters played by the actor across different projects and platforms getting all the love from fans. Ajeeb Daastaans, Mimi, Phantom, and Bhaag Johnny are some of his projects.

Team TellyChakkar got an exclusive chance to speak with the Gyan Prakash with regard to his acting journey, where he also spoke in detail about the types of characters he looks forward to doing on digital platforms.

We have seen some different characters played by the actor over time. Throwing some light on his journey, he revealed that it has been a smooth journey so far as an actor. He always looked forward to doing some quality work in his life. He belongs from a small town in Nainital. Acting was never a part of his plan. He always wanted to become a mountaineer. He had been a part of small plays and dramas but never thought of acting as a profession. But slowly, he saw that his acting started attracting people and he was offered many plays. The actor went on to do these plays and there was no looking back for him then. In 1997, he got his big break on DD National with a television serial.

Gyan Prakash on what he looks for before signing any project

He likes to do quality work. He first looks at his character and the contribution of his character to the overall script before signing any project. He does not mind doing a small character, but that should also have a good impact on a script.

Gyan Prakash on the types of characters he looks forward to doing on digital platforms

With the rise in consumption of OTT content, many actors and directors are collaborating for amazing digital projects. The actor also has been impressing fans on digital platforms and wants to deliver nore amazing performances on OTT. He does not want to restrict his talent to any specific genre or character but wants to explore every type of character.
