MUMBAI:Manoj Bajpayee is one of the most talented actors we have in the Indian film industry. The actor is gearing up for the release of Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai which will premiere on Zee5. The trailer of the film was released a few days ago, and it is getting a good response.

Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai is based on true incidents. It is about a godman who was accused of abusing a minor girl, and Bajpayee plays the role of a lawyer in the film. His character is based on a real-life lawyer who had fought the case against the godman.

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Bajpayee and when asked him what was his reaction when he first read the script, the actor said, “When I read the script I felt there’s a lot of potential and this can be made into an amazing movie and the message in this movie will come out very strongly. If you don’t make a good film, even if the message is good, it will die down and go to waste. So, Suparn (Verma) and Vinod ji (Bhanushali) gave me responsibility to find a director and Apoorv Singh Karki has made Aspirant.”

“So, Sunny Hinduja, who was with me in The Family Man, had told me to watch Aspirant and I found my director. He is brilliant. The main thing I felt was that if I keep that small girl and her bravery in my mind, then I will be able to do the role properly and even the film will be good,” he added.

When asked if he met the real-life lawyer to prepare for his role, Bajpayee said, “No, we had decided that we won’t meet him because we just wanted to take an essence of him and create a character. People don’t know about him, they don’t know how he looks and how he walks and talks. So, it was important that we concentrate on the character first and we wanted to make a character that not just in this story, but it even fits in all the true events like this. There are such people who fight battles in which there’s risk; even risk of life. However, when we saw the film or when I saw the trailer, a lot of things looked like Solanki ji.”
