MUMBAI: Home Shanti is all set to release on Disney + Hotstar. It is a drama starring Supriya Pathak and Manoj Pahwa in the lead roles. It is about them building their dream home and the challenges that come their way.

What is your role in the web series Home Shanti?

Home Shanti is basically a story about the Joshi family, who wants to build a house in Dehradun. I am playing a contractor. I feature in all six episodes of the series. I will be helping them build the house and will then become a part of the family. My role will break the stereotypical image of a contractor being regarded as a thief.

How was it working with Manoj Pahwa and Supriya Pathak Kapoor?

They are very senior actors as compared to me, but they both are very down to earth. Pahwa Sir and I belong to the same theatre group from Delhi, so we had a lot of things to talk about. Moreover, Supriya Ma’am's craft is excellent. It was a pleasure working with them.

What are the challenges faced by you so far?

So everyone has a different approach in the industry. If your training has been good, there is no difference between being on stage and on screen. But the biggest challenge so far in both mediums is that there is no linearity. On the stage, you perform from the first to last scene continuously, but while shooting, you don’t know which scene will be first and last, so mentally, it is a little challenging.

Good luck, Happy!
