Tell us about your role in Gulmohar.

This film is about a family who is shifting their house and I play the role of chief supervisor of the packers and movers company that’s helping them in shifting. So, I am taking care of all the shifting.

How was your experience of working with Manoj Bajpayee and Sharmila Tagore ma’am?

I look up to both of them as actors; Sharmila ma’am has worked with Satyajit Ray, and Manoj Bajpayee has worked with Anurag sir and he has given so many great performances. I look up to his performance in Satya, The Family Man, and Gangs Of Wasseypur, so it was very surreal to be around them. It was a learning experience for me all the time. Manoj sir shares a lot of wisdom and talks to young actors. After my scenes, he asked his assistant to pull a chair for me and made me have a cold drink, and asked me about my journey so far. He was very happy to know that I am from NSD.

The film is about a family. So, was there any moment while shooting when you felt that this story is very relatable?

Absolutely, all the characters are very real. I am from Delhi, so the father-son relationship in the movie I feel is very close to my relationship. I cried a lot while watching the film and even while reading the script the scenes touched me. So yes, absolutely in the film everything is very relatable and very real.
