MUMBAI: Gear up to watch some really entertaining movies and series as the online streaming giant Netflix just announced 17 new projects including films and series, to directly release on the OTT platform. While it looks like multiplexes and cinema halls won’t be opening anytime soon, many films have decided to skip theatrical release, and they will directly premiere on a digital platform. A few days ago, the digital release of seven films was announced by Disney+ Hotstar. Now, 17 films and series will soon be released on Netflix, and they include Gunjan Saxena, A Suitable Boy, Torbaaz, Ludo, among others.
Today, Netflix announced a total of 17 projects that will release directly on the digital platform and they include- Gunjan Saxena, Torbaaz, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, Raat Akeli Hai, Ludo, Class of '83, Ginny weds Sunny, A Suitable Boy, Mismatched, AK vs AK, Serious Men, Tribhanga, Kaalhi Khuhi, Bombay Rose, Bhaag Beanie Bhaag, Bombay Begums and Masaba Masaba. Janhvi Kapoor starrer Gunjan Saxena will release on August 12, and Janhvi took to her social media to announce the same. She wrote, “Proud to bring to you the story of India’s first woman Air Force Officer to go to war. A journey that I hope will inspire you the way that it has inspired me. GunjanSaxena - The Kargil Girl is landing on 12th August to your #Netflix screens!”
Anurag Basu's Ludo stars Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. Sharing about Ludo soon releasing on Netflix, Rajkummar Rao wrote, “Watch four players take fate into their own hands in a high stakes game where nothing is a coincidence and everything is planned.”

Meanwhile, sharing about his film The Suitable Boy releasing directly on Netflix, Ishaan Khatter wrote, “Love doesn’t recognise borders, love simply is.. Bringing you the story of Maan, Saeeda and a lot more #asuitableboy coming on #Netflix soon.”
