MUMBAI: Eros Now is making a strong mark on OTT with quality content. We have seen and loved Smoke and Flesh. Now, we are going to see the corrupt educational system in the latest movie Halahal which stars talents like Sachin Khedekar, Barun Sobti, Manu Rishi Chadha, Purnendu Bhattacharya, and a few more and is directed by Randeep Jha.
The story starts with a happy family: Dr. Shiv played by Sachin Khedekar with his wife and 2 daughters. He is completely shocked by the news of his daughter commiting suicide. As a father, he strongly believes that she cannot commit suicide. He suspects that something else has happened to her. Thus, he goes on a journey to know the truth behind the untimely demise of his daughter and to uncover all the behind all this conspiracy.
The screenplay of the movie is gripping, and the crafting of the thrill and suspense element is superb. The direction is good, and the location and the chase sequences have been shot brilliantly.

Talking about the performances, the scene stealer is Sachin Khedekar. Sachin's natural acting does full justice to his role as a helpless father trying to find the truth. Barun Sobti as fearless Inspector Yusuf is amazing, and his comic timing will surely make you laugh. The other supporting cast has also done a good job.
The positives of the movie are the screenplay, which has been written and designed effectively and will never allow you to get bored. The performances by the leads Sachin Khedekar and Barun Sobti are a treat to watch. Barun Sobti’s comic timing is a pleasant surprise and Sachin Khedekar has once again proved his versatility. The subject of suicide or murder make this an interesting watch.
The negative is the unnecessary use of abusive language on many occasions.
Overall, this 96-minute thriller is definitely worth your time.
