Heartbeat review: A heartbeat worth listening to

Rajeev Khandelwal and Anupriya Goenaka starrer Heartbeat will touch your heart and make you think.

MUMBAI: ZEE5 has some amazing content lined up for the audiences during the present lockdown period. The OTT platform has launched a short film festivals. About 9 short films were released on 15th April 2020, one of which was Heartbeat, which stars Rajeev Khandelwal and Anupriya Goenaka.

Rajeev has recently garnered a lot of love and appreciation for his work on OTT platforms. His acting in Cold Lassi and Chicken Masala and Marzi was loved by the audiences. On the other hand, Anupriya had been seen in quite a few series and was last seen in Asur with Arshad Warsi.

The film starts with Saanvi Jain (Anupriya Goenka), a very famous and successful novelist, sitting next to a bed in a hospital, where her husband Abhimanyu Jain (Rajeev Khandelwal) is lying in a coma.

Abhimanyu was a decorated air force pilot in his life. But 3 years ago, he had a major air crash. While saving many lives in a village, he damaged his physical body completely and had been in a coma since.

Sanvi loves her husband very much, and will do anything to bring him back to life. She has been waiting for her husband for 3 years.

The story is told in a hospital room but is a treat to watch. The couple is having a discussion about life and the decisions to be taken keeping their future and their only son in mind.

Creator and director Manu Chobe hits the right chord between practical life and connections we form with our loved ones. The narrative is excellent.

Talking about the performances then, Anupriya shines in this small and effective film. Rajeev also does a good job, but the former steals the show

Overall, it is a perfect watch during the quarantine.

Team Tellychakkar goes with 3 stars for Heartbeat.
