Heeramandi first look out; Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s series looks grand with Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari heading the cast

MUMBAI:Many years ago, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had planned a movie titled Heeramandi, but it never got made. A few months ago, it was announced that the filmmaker is now making a series titled Heeramandi which will be streamed on Netflix. There were multiple reports about the cast, but there was no official announcement about it.
 
Today, finally, the makers have revealed the cast of the series and shared their first look. Heeramandi stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, Richa Chadha, and Sanjeeda Sheikh.

Netflix took to Twitter to share the first look and wrote, “Another time, another era, another magical world created by Sanjay Leela Bhansali that we can’t wait to be a part of. Here is a glimpse into the beautiful world of #Heeramandi Coming soon!”

All the actresses are looking stunning in the first look, but netizens have given mixed reactions to the cast. A netizen commented, “Everything about this is so perfect and aesthetic but what the fck is sonakshi sinha doing here?” Another Twitter user wrote, “Something to look forward to the Indian ott space after a long time.” One more Twitter user posted, “Finally SLB Directional But Cast Toh Northpole Aur Southpole hai.” Check out the tweets below...

There were reports that the series will have actresses like Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, and others in a cameo. But, there’s no official announcement about it.
