The series narrates the story of the Shiledars —stalwart defenders and trusted stewards whose unwavering dedication shaped the course of an era. Directed by Munjya fame , Aditya Sarpotdar, starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Sai Tamhankar, Gaurav Amlani and Ashish Vidyarthi the series releases from 31st January, 2025 onwards only on Disney+ Hotstar.
At the heart of the action-packed series is Rajeev Khandelwal, who plays a pivotal role in unraveling the mysteries surrounding the legendary Shiledars. Known for his ability to immerse himself in diverse roles, Rajeev Khandelwal spoke about the physical and mental preparation that went into this project, “We rehearsed all the action scenes thoroughly before shooting. Aditya Sarpotdar created an atmosphere during rehearsals where we performed the exact actions expected on set. Beyond that, I didn’t require any specific training because I’m generally into fitness and enjoy action in my personal life. I just had to understand the style of action we were doing. I love running and challenging myself physically, so that part wasn’t difficult. The real challenge was perfecting the choreography, but we eventually nailed it.”
The Secret of the Shiledars marks a milestone in storytelling with its unique treasure hunt narrative woven seamlessly into the rich legacy of the Marathas. Aditya Sarpotdar, a Maharashtrian filmmaker, has poured his passion into this project to bring awareness to the legacy of the Shiledars.
