MUMBAI: Rashmi Agdekar has blown the audience’s mind with her brilliant performance. The young and talented actress started her acting career in 2017, in the web series “Dev DD” and played the lead role in the MX player web series “I’mMature” which was critically acclaimed. She also made her debut in Bollywood with the film “Andhadhun” alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. The actress who has been a part of multiple web series and movies has opened up about her views on the censorship of the OTT platforms.
While we already have guidelines on censorship for movies now many filmmakers and actors have moved to the OTT platform where they can freely express themselves rather than having to face restrictions from the censorship board. Now the government is drawing guidelines for the censorship of OTT platforms because of the bold and unfiltered content. Actress Rashmi Agdekar says, “I feel censorship hampers the quality of content somewhere because makers are compelled to play safe, keeping them from telling their stories freely. Most of the platforms do take responsibility and are careful while producing content so that they don't put anything offensive out there. Moreover, all web shows come with their own disclaimers and ratings, so I don't think this will be helpful!!”.

The actress who has done a number of web series also says, “Regulation to the limit of adding disclaimers and age ratings is fine. But any further is not necessary. OTT is a more democratic space of creating content, Censorship of the same will hamper the very motive of web content, which is to tell stories boldly, truthfully, and in one's own unique way.”
Rashmi Agdekar has been working on a big project and will be announcing it very soon.
