MUMBAI : Kathmandu Connection season 1 started streaming on Sony LIV in April 2021. Now, season 2 of the series is all set to start streaming on 23rd December 2022. Anshumaan Pushkar, who impressed one and all in season 1, will also be seen in season 2.
TellyChakkar recently interacted with Anshumaan and spoke to him about Kathmandu Connection season 2, the pressure of taking the sequel forward, and more…
What can the audience expect from Kathmandu Connection 2?
The timeline of the film has moved from 1993 to 1999. So, there is a difference between these many years and through these years there are so many things that have changed. The writer has done a remarkable job by putting a socio-political connection in the story. So, even that way things have changed, during 1993 an event happened and later in 1999 an event took place which you have seen in the teaser. Apart from that, you will see certain changes in the characters and how they have evolved.
When you are a part of the sequel, does that put pressure on you to better your performance?
Of course, if there’s no pressure then it means that you are taking things very lightly. It is important to take the pressure. You have created something and people have liked it, so you want to explore that and create something extra. In the first season, there are certain aspects of my character, but now I can’t be on the same page, and I cannot do the same thing. There are certain challenges that you have to create within yourself. You have to add something that you haven’t done in the previous season, and I have tried that. This challenge is something that you want to take.
As you said that the story has a socio-political connection, did you research the subject or you just followed the director’s vision?
I always say that the director is the captain of the ship and one has to understand that thing. The director has a point of view and vision that is connected with all the characters. If you do something less or extra, the director misses the way he wants to narrate the story, and of course, the blame comes to the director. We do all the discussion during the pre-production, but once the project goes on the floors I start believing that the director is Bhagwan.
