MUMBAI: Sharmin Segal is majorly known for her debut movie Malaal opposite Meezaan Jafri, and was later seen in the film Atithi Bhooto Bhava. Before becoming an actress however, Sharmin has also worked as an Assistant Director. Currently Sharmin is basking in the glory of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi where she plays the lead role of Alamzeb.

For the unversed, apart from being Bhansali’s niece and an actress, Sharmin is also a married woman who got married to the love of her life Aman Mehta in November 2023. Aman works as an Executive Director at Torrent Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of
Torrent Group. The company was established in 1959 and has its headquarters in Ahmedabad.
Aman Mehta also has a directorial position at Torrent Investments.
Aman Mehta’s father Samir Mehta’s net worth is a staggering USD 6.44 billion which is Rs. 53,800 crores.
Born in 1995, Sharmin comes from an illustrious filmy background. Her father Deepak Segal is the content head at Applause Entertainment while mom Bela Segal is a renowned film editor. Uncle Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a renowned filmmaker with films like Black, Khamoshi, Bajirao Mastani and the series Heeramandi to his credit.
Aman Mehta completed his degree in Economics from Boston University and then pursued his MBA from Columbia Business School in America. He began his journey in business as a distribution manager at Torrent Power for three years.
