MUMBAI: How does Farid differ from other antagonistic roles you have played in the past?
Every character has its own sphere—its own way of living, its own likes and dislikes. So, by including these elements, we try to differentiate it from other characters. Sometimes we observe someone and try to portray or incorporate those traits.
In your opinion, what sets Murshid apart from other crime dramas on OTT platforms?
I think Murshid stands out because, while you may find similar things on other OTT platforms, this one is more restricted and much closer to reality, very close to reality.
What was it like working with Kay Kay Menon, Tanuj Virwani, Rajesh Shringarpure, and how did your collaboration influence your portrayal of Farid?
I have worked with Kay Kay and Tanuj before, and this was my first time working with Rajesh Shringarpure, but I have seen a lot of his work. We know each other, and when we met, we had a lot of conversations, so it was great working with everyone.
Reflecting on your career, what drew you to the role of Farid, and how do you think this character will resonate with audiences?
I feel very lucky to receive so much love from the audience. When people meet me, they say, ‘We enjoy watching you,’ so that’s the inspiration—to keep doing good work gradually and to try to meet the audience's expectations and stand up to their hopes.
