The show is now out with its 5th season and in one of the episodes, we see popular Tv actors Reem Shaikh and Ritvik Bhowmik.
In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, Reem Shaikh and Ritvik Bhowmik talk about their experiences of working in the show and their characters Rohan and Maya.
Ritwik said, “Maya and Rohan’s story in season 5 is all about progressing in life and moving upwards.” Speaking of similarities between Ritwik and Rohan in real life, the actor said, “In real-life Rohan and Ritwik are very different. However the character is Rohan and the voice and body enacting it is Ritwik so in a way they are different as well as same.”
Reem said, “Maya and Reem are a little different but slightly similar. In real life I'm very hyper but calm down soon and Maya’s nature too is hyper. I have tries to bring a lot of Reem in Maya.”
Talking about why they chose this script Reem said, “The story was very relatable and simple for me yet had a deep meaning. We tried our best to explain a complex story in an easy way.”
Ritwik added, “for me, honestly just like Reem said, the story is what got me hooked where a complicated story was told simply. I’m a sucker for love stories.”

Speaking of which part the audience will relate to in the series, Ritwik said, “first it would be the narrative on arranged marriage that even those who have arranged marriage can find true love. Private moments to get to know each other. This story also explores the narrative where even couples who have arranged marriages can fulfill their fantasies and romance them.”
When asked about their thoughts on red flags and green flags, Reem said, “I try to be respectful toward everyone. I feel Many people don’t see that there is a thin line between making fun and disrespecting. Even if you are married there are some boundaries and lines that cannot be crossed. I’m not saying that jokes should not be taken sportingly but one has to be smart enough to know that this was a joke and this was disrespectful. So I feel disrespect is a huge Red flag in a relationship.”
Speaking of Green flags, Ritwik mentioned, “we take listening to each other very lightly and for granted. So listening to each other is a very green flag.”
Speaking of celebrating Valentine’s Day, Reem said, “I was shooting just like last year so it's a regular working day for me. I can buy my own chocolates and teddy bears so I have nothing much to do with V Day” Speaking of his upcoming projects, Ritwik said, “After this show you will see me in a sequel of a popular show which will be out in a short while. You will see me in the show’s second season.”
