MUMBAI: Gagan Dev Riar, who will be playing the role of Abdul Karim Telgi in the much anticipated sequel, Scam 2003, directed by Hansal Mehta, is an actor, theatre artist, director and writer. Gagan has acted in films like ‘Sonchiriya’ and series ‘A Suitable Boy’. With a theatre experience of over 15 years, the actor has worked with several theatre personalities like late Shri Pandit Satyadev Dubey, Sunil Shanbag, Rajit Kapur, Purva Naresh and Atul Kumar.
Born and brought up in Pathankot, Punjab, Gagan has been performing theatre extensively around the world and has been a part of many famous plays like Stories in a Song, Ok Tata Bye Bye, Ravnleela and Piya Behroopiya. He has won many awards in his theatre journey.

Scam 2003 is a big stepping stone for Gagan in his career and playing such an anticipated character is definitely not going to be an easy task for the actor. But, we are hoping for the best and it will be an exciting spot to see the actor playing the role of Abdul Karim Telgi. Coming from such a big theatre background, Gagan has already raised the bar expectations of the audience. The critic might have also risen to an extent. Hence, it won’t be an easy task for him to win the audience over. But, we will be hoping the best for the actor and the series.
Scam 2003 is the sequel of Scam 1992, which was based on the Harshad Mehta scam. This season uncovers the stamp scam done by Abdul Rahim Telgi. The series is much awaited among the audience and the expectations are already very high. The series will be streaming from 2nd September, exclusively on Sony Liv.
