MUMBAI: Elvish Yadav on Wednesday was taken to a local court in Noida for his impending bail hearing. However, he was given no relief. BJP spokesperson and lawyer Gaurav Bhatia was at the court to represent Elvish in the case and a scuffle broke out between him and the other lawyers at the same court.
As per our sources, the bail hearing got postponed when the members of the local Bar Association didn’t allow any court-related work to take place due to the strike.
Bhatia tried his best to make the members understand the sensitivity and urgency of the hearing in the case, which also led to a slight altercation. However, he was not allowed to proceed further, leading to the postponement of the hearing.
This was Elvish’s first bail hearing since Sunday when he was arrested and sent to a 14-day judicial custody in the snake venom case. The popular YouTuber has been arrested for allegedly supplying snakes and snake venom to many such illegal parties in Noida and other NCR areas for recreational purposes.
While his family and friends have been constantly denying the allegations, the police are sure about his involvement in the case. Elvish’s name in the case cropped up first when the Noida police busted a rave party in the city in November last year following a tip-off from People For Animal, an NGO run by BJP’s Sultanpur MP Maneka Gandhi.
Five arrests were made initially from a banquet hall in Noida’s Sector 51 and based on the investigation that followed, Elvish was called in for questioning on Sunday.
Elvish was seen covering his face with a mask as the police took him for the hearing at a local court in Noida on Wednesday. The other two arrested on the same day were also taken to the court for hearing. Watch this video of Elvish from outside the Noida court:

Earlier on Tuesday, a Noida police official told the media that Elvish was behaving as if he had nothing to fear from the authorities during his questioning. In a statement given to Indian Express, he mentioned how he maintained a certain swag and did what he did because he “wanted to paint a picture among his fans as someone who is completely unafraid of law-enforcement agencies and can do whatever he wishes.”

Meanwhile, his parents – Sushma and Rav Avtar Yadav have been speaking to the news channels, claiming that someone is trying to malign their son’s image and that the ‘real culprit’ will never be exposed. They also requested Maneka Gandhi, whose NGO first tipped the police about the case, to show ‘mercy’ towards their son and let him go.
Elvish’s lawyer has been calling his arrest ‘illegal’.
