How excited or nervous are you for Rocket Boys season 2?
I am very excited to share it with everyone and not nervous because I really believe in the script and whatever we shot. It’s an honest story, it’s been made with a lot of love and dedication over a long period and I am very hopeful that it will find its place.

Season 1 had received such a great response, so was there pressure to perform better in season 2?
I think it’s not how any actor functions. When you do it, you are doing it with the intent of telling a story honestly and the response comes when the work is done completely in all respects and when it is scheduled to be released. I have things in mind like how people will react to different parts of the story, the overall season 2. But, I feel it’s a solid season and it’s going to be one of the shows that carried forward the story very well. Abhay (Pannu) created a master plan for season 1 and season 2, and we had shot a good chunk of season 2 with season 1.
When Rocket Boys was offered to you, did you do any research or just followed the script?
When there’s a script like this you kind of need to understand the nuances of the writing, you have to understand what certain references mean and to have a sense of what these men are doing. So, of course, I read about science in those days, that particular ecosystem and environment, and different phases of his life. So, it’s a script that sends you to different places and it keeps coming back to you.
Rocket Boys season 2 is slated to premiere on Sony LIV on 16th March 2023.
