MUMBAI : TVF has had a lot of success with Panchayat in the streaming market. Into its third season, the charming slice-of-life series about a hesitant Pachayat secretary in an unremarkable UP town has won over viewers' hearts. The actress Sanvikaa, who plays Rinki, the daughter of the village chief (pradhan), has become one of the show's breakout stars. In a special interview with DNA, the actress discusses how the program has impacted her life.

Sanvikaa said, “There are so many messages every day on Instagram, and such sweet messages. I end up missing so many of them because of the sheer number of them. So many people are showering so much love that it is overwhelming. I am very grateful.”
She further explained, “I still haven’t realised if it is big or not. My friends congratulate me and get so happy. My family calls me and tell me that people re congratulating them. So, their happiness makes me happy. Otherwise, as an actor, I stay neutral. I don’t get too happy when I am doing good or too sad when I am doing bad.”
Sanvikaa reveals she had to beat a lot of big names to get the role in the series saying, “There were a lot of big names in consideration for my role. But I was chosen because I look that simple, desi girl,” she further adeed, “If you look at all the actors in Panchayat, they all have that rawness to them. It looks real. I think I was chosen for the same reason that I was very close to that Rinki who is a village girl but slightly modern. I am so blessed that I have been able to reach so many people at this young age.”
Panchayat also stars Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Chandan Roy, Faisal Malik, Durgesh Kumar, Pankaj Jha, and Sunita Rajwar in pivotal roles, and the third season premiered on Amazon Prime Video last month.
