Fans absolutely adore the chemistry between you and Rohit Purohit on-screen. How would you describe your bond with him off-screen?
"We both work very hard, as does the entire team, to bring these characters to life and to make sure the audience truly feels Armaan and Abhira’s emotions. Rohit is a thorough professional and quite senior to me; I’ve learnt so much from him. He remains incredibly calm under pressure, which really sets the tone on set. Keeping the environment relaxed makes a huge difference; it allows a natural, genuine bond to come across in our performances."
The writers of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai have kept the audience hooked for over 16 years now. What are your thoughts on their contribution to the show's massive success?
"For me, the writers are the real ‘boss men’ of the show. I’ve said this to them personally and I say it everywhere. It’s the writing and the story that are the heart and soul of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. We actors are only here temporarily, but the show goes on and should continue to do so! The true USP (unique selling point) of the series is the incredible work done by the writers. We simply do our part, and though actors often receive the applause, it’s truly the writers who drive the magic."
With her grounded nature, undeniable talent, and growing admiration from audiences, Samridhii Shukla has firmly established herself as one of television’s most loved and celebrated actresses. As Abhira, she continues to win hearts and it’s clear that her star will only continue to rise.
