'Paurashpur' posters signify power, dynasties, elegance, betrayal, loyalty!

MUMBAI: Touted to be one of the biggest web series ever brought to the audiences, ALTBalaji and ZEE5's Paurashpur is the magnum opus that is already making headlines. Envisioned to be on the lines of Games Of Thrones, the makers had recently launched the logo of Paurashpur in 16 Indian languages, making it a Pan-India title launch for the show of the land, that surprised many!

Building the anticipation even further, the makers have launched the captivating motion posters of four magnanimous characters of the fictional period drama – namely Meerawati (Shilpa Shinde), Bhadrapratap (Annu Kapoor), Veer Singh (Shaheer Sheikh) and Bhanu (Sahil Salathiya).

A perfect example of ravishing beauty with brains; Queen Meerawati of Paurashpur is portrayed by the popular actor, Shilpa Shinde. Though the King may seem to rule his realm, it is Queen Meerawati's wisdom that makes Paurashpur stand as a powerful kingdom.

Another powerful character from the world of Paurashpur is King Bhadrapratap, brought to life by the veteran and versatile actor Annu Kapoor. The world bows down to this merciless ruler of Paurashpur, as his spoken words, his actions, his decisions dare not be questioned.

Strong and confident, Veer Singh, essayed by Shaheer Sheikh is the vyapari (trader) who has entered Paurashpur. He is powerful and has a past that haunts his present! But will this mysterious man be the change that Paurashpur needs?

Last but not least is the dance teacher or nrityaguru, Bhanu, enacted by Sahil Salathiya. Bhanu's loyalty to the royals of Paurashpur made him special to the King to the extent that he earned his place in the palace due to his sheer talent but what turns will his life take as the royals question his loyalty?

The period drama web series stars Shilpa Shinde, Milind Sonam, Sahil Salathia, Shaheer Sheikh, Annu Kapoor in the lead roles. The show also stars Anant Joshi, Poulomi Das, Flora Saini, Aditya Lal, and others. The web series is a magnum opus period drama that showcases the apathy between men and women and the politics that it all entails.

Directed by Sachindra Vats, Paurashpur will stream on ALTBalaji and ZEE5 platforms. Teaser out on December 6!
