Sadak2 Review: This sequel is filled with Lacklustre

Sadak2 is premiered on Disney+Hotstar and here is the complete review of the movie

MUMBAI : After the successful run of Sadak 1991 which starred Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt in the lead the makers are now back with the sequel of the movie, this version of Sadak2 has some addition in the cast and we see Alia Bhatt, and Aditya Roy Kapoor along with Sanjay Dutt, this Mahesh Bhatt directorial also has Jishu Sengupta, Makrand Deshpande, Gulshan Grover and few others as the supporting cast.

The story picks up from e=where the 1991 movie ended and now Ravi played by Sanjay Dutt is seeking death from his life and does want to live anymore after losing his wife Pooja (Pooja Bhatt) but there comes Araya played by Alia Bhatt, in his life and who has her motive in life with her lover Vishal played by Aditya Roy Kapoor, what is this motive all about?, what happened to Pooja, will Ravi be able to survive and help Araya? Well these are the questions which will get answered in this 133 min movie.

This movies lacks in many way, the screenplay of the movie is very dull and lacks in many parts, he screenplay fails to connect the audiences right from the very first scene till the last scene of the movie, and the direction of the movie is not at all upto mark, infact this type of direction spoils the brand value of Sadak 1991.

Acting wise if we speak only Sanjay Dutt as Ravi is bearable in the movie, but at some points the actor too fails to deliver what he is known for and  we have seen Sanjay Dutt delivering much better roles than this, on the other hand Ali Bhatt was very decent and she was seen doing nothing different or nothing new in this movie, and seeing at Aditya Roy Kapoor we can say the actor was not used properly in the movie and had nothing much to offer. Also Jishu Sengupta, Makrand Deshpande, Gulshan Grover were very average on their parts.

The positives of the movie are very hard to find, as only watching Sanjay Dutt and his acting only in a few points will make you feel connected to the movie, the location is covered well in the movie during the road trip we see in the movie.

There is lot of negatives in the movie, the poor writing makes the movie look very much dull and the dull and slow screenplay fails to attract the attention of the audiences, the plot of the movie is confusing in many ways and it is full of Lacklustre, also music did not work for the film.

Overall the movie Sadak2 is a complete waste of talent and waste of brand Sadak, the movie filled with loopholes which has nothing different to offer.

Team TellyChakkar goes with 1.5 stars for Sadak2.
