Taish Review: Many loopholes in this extravagant web-series!

Taish finally got released on ZEE5 and here is an honest review of the show. READ ON

MUMBAI: ZEE5’s Taish finally hit the screens of the audiences today, ever since the trailer of the series was out, it created a huge impact with its rich graphics and lavish screenplay, the series stars, Pulkit Samrat, Harshvardhan Rane, Jim Sarbh, Kriti Kharbanda, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Melissa Raju Thomas, and others and is directed by Bejoy Nambiar.

But these lavish-looking sets and the rich screenplay is it worth your time, read on to know.

The story begins with a murder committed by a person in a wedding party, which is the beginning of the new end for many, the happy and joyful environment of the family becomes and stressful one and later how the situation changes for all is the story follow with the blend of revenge in it.

The screenplay of this 6 episodic series looks extravagant and lavish but it is very weak in the storyline as it fails to attract the audiences at several points in the series, also the confusion is been created whenever the series goes in flashback and comes in present-day, that should have been designed in a better way, but the direction on the other hand decent enough by Bejoy Nambiar.

The performances by the actors were very much decent and loud at the same time, Pulkit Samrat delivered he never seen before avatar and was decent on his part, Kriti Kharbanda also was decent on her part and had hardly anything to add, but at the same time it was a treat to watch Harshvardhan Rane in this series, he is only saving factor of the series and it won’t be wrong saying that this is out and out Harshvardhan Rane’s show, Jim Sarbh, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Melissa Raju Thomas, also were decent on their part.

The negative points of the series is the screenplay which looks rich but at the same time it fails to garner the attention of the viewers, also half of the dialogues of the series are in Punjabi, so many may find it difficult to understand, the cast of the series is very talented but nothing new is been seen in this series in terms of acting apart from Harshvardhan Rane’s acting, the action scenes and the chase sequence towards the climax were too average in the series.

The positives points of the series, as said can be Harshvardhan Rane’s acting and also the direction of the series which was decent enough and covered the location and scenes very effectively, and also the screenplay looks rich in quality and is visually appealing.

Overall the series is below average and can be a one time watch.
