MUMBAI: Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and actor-choreographer Dhanashree Verma have officially finalised their divorce, marking the end of their much-celebrated relationship.
The couple, who captured the hearts of many, had tied the knot in 2020 after a whirlwind romance that began during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Their love story had once charmed audiences when they shared it on the sets of the popular dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Chahal had initially approached Dhanashree for dance lessons after admiring her videos online.

Their bond quickly blossomed, and within a few months of dating, they decided to marry.
However, cracks reportedly began to surface last year, with speculation of a possible separation making headlines.
It has now been confirmed that the couple’s divorce was finalised a few months ago, just before the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season, as Chahal resumed his cricketing commitments.
While the exact reasons for their split remain private, media reports suggested that disagreements over relocating to Mumbai may have played a part with Dhanashree’s career aspirations prompting the move, while Chahal preferred to remain elsewhere. Neither party, however, has publicly confirmed the speculation.
Fans who once adored their chemistry have expressed their sadness over the separation. Post-divorce, both Chahal and Dhanashree have chosen to focus on their individual paths, gracefully moving forward with their respective careers.
