MUMBAI: Probably the most heartwarming series about family relationships and middle-class issues is hands down Gullak. Each and every character, be it the father (Santosh Mishra), the mother (Shanti Mishra), or the children (Anu and Aman) , is sure to make you laugh while also feeling a bit emotional with their innocence. Vaibhav Raj Gupta essays the character of Annu Mishra, the elder child. In fact, it was Gullak that gave Vaibhav wider recognition, after which he was able to be a part of many significant and big projects. In a recent interview with BollywoodLife, Vaibhav, while shedding light on what all can be expected from his character this time, also reveals the most challenging part of portraying Annu so far.
Vaibhav Raj Gupta states, "Every year I have to go back to Annu Mishra's character, I have to redo the whole process to get into the skin of the character. It's like when you finish a project, you are done with the character and you move on with your life and other characters. But with Gullak, the challenging part is with each season I have to find Annu Mishra again and again. But at the same time, it's very beautiful to revisit that character and reconnect with other characters. I am always eager to see what middle-class issues this time the makers will bring in. The good part is that the writers really put a lot of hard work due to which today Gullak is what it is."
He further added, "In Gullak 4, while I can't say much about the love story angle of Annu Mishra, definitely the character will now become more mature and responsible. He will also deal with a new set of problems and issues as he is now getting mature."
