MUMBAI: Tellychakkar is back with our promise to give you an insight into the lives of your favorite celebrities. Here is an EXCLUSIVE interview with Shraddha Kaul, who has pulled off some of the most terrific roles in her stint as an actress.

Shraddha has worked in some of the finest TV serials, movies, and web series. Playing a cop in Breathe: Into the shadows opposite Abhishek Bachchan and Amit Sadh is her most talked about character. The actress recently worked on her 'dream project' in Mee Raqsam directed by Baba Azmi, alongside Naseeruddin Shah and Danish Hussain.

We ask her about her journey in the glitzy world of entertainment, she says ''my journey so far has been enchanting, playing so many characters, meeting different kinds of people and sharing screen space with them..I have worked with people who I have admired all my life..I have learned a lot from them. I was associated with the theatre at a young age and have essayed different roles and I feel that is what an actor wants at the end of the day, not being monotonous with the characters, this feeling completes me as an actor."

We further ask her about her experience working with Abhishek Bachchan and Amit Sadh during the shoot of the Amazon Prime web-series Breathe: Into the Shadows, she quips ''Abhishek ji is such a humble personality, wherever there was laughter on the sets it is where you would find Abhishek Ji. I had many scenes with Amit Sadh ji and he is very hardworking...I had so much to learn from him. Both are such fine actors, I was more amazed as an audience on seeing them perform. It was a wonderful experience."

The actress was all praises for her recently released film Mee Raqsam which is directed by the veteran director Baba Azmi, she gushes ''Mee Raqsam is a jewel of a film, it is one of those films which doesn't preach a lot but say so much in a simplistic way. The story is aspirational as well as inspirational at the same time, it transcends all borders and can be seen in Peru, Belgium, or anywhere on the globe as it is not ethnicity-specific or language-specific u can identify with it no matter what country you belong to. It is a simple story that touches the heart."

She goes on to reveal her experience working with Baba Azmi, ''I have been an ardent fan of Baba Azmi sir since my childhood. I have always dreamed to work with him and I feel the universe finally granted me that wish. I have evolved as an actor working with them as you get to learn so much when you are around him. It was a fan moment for me when I got to share screen space with Farrukh Jaffar ji. I feel blessed to have gotten a chance to work with an amazing cast.''

Shraddha goes on, "I am very thankful to the writers on  both these projects to have written good scenes for both my characters. Thankful to both of my directors Baba Azmi sir and Mayank Sharma Sir  to have given me a chance to be a part of these lovely projects."

She concludes by comparing OTT platforms to a painkiller. She says" During a pandemic when people are so stressed they could watch entertainment in the comfort of their homes and would feel a relief that a 40mins episode at least took away the worry for some time, it is actually a blessing in disguise. A good show is like a painkiller with no side effects! The web shows represent the power of creativity and the audience has woken up to a good taste, what the content creators are doing is commendable."

Well, we wish Shraddha Kaul all the best for her future projects.
