MUMBAI:A few weeks ago, when Jio Studios announced its slate, they released a teaser of Shahid Kapoor starrer Bloody Daddy. The teaser received a fantastic response, and Shahid was seen in a never-seen-before role in it. The actor’s fans were super excited about the movie.
Today, Shahid announced that the movie will premiere on Jio Cinema from 9th June 2023 and the trailer of the film will be out tomorrow. He tweeted, “It's about to get really BLOODY! #BloodyDaddy Trailer out TOMORROW! #BloodyDaddyOnJioCinema on 9th June.”

Well, Shahid’s fans and a few other netizens are not happy with the film coming on OTT. A netizen tweeted, “Theatre pa dena tha want to enjoy u.” Another Twitter user wrote, “Making it a non theatrical release is the worst decision.” One more Twitter user posted, “Should have released in theatres Shahid. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bloody Daddy also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Diana Penty, Ronit Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, Ankur Bhatia and Vivan Bhatena. The movie is an adaptation of French film Sleepless Night which was remade in Tamil as Thoongaa Vanam. The Tamil film starred Kamal Haasan in the lead role.
Talking about other films of Shahid, the actor has an untitled romantic film with Kriti Sanon. A glimpse of the movie was seen in the slate video announced by Jio Studios.
