#RaakhiSpecial: Typical traits of a Bollywood bro

Every Bollywood bhai has a typical trait that makes him one of the most important characters on the big screen. From being overly protective of his sister to spitting fire on her suitor, the quintessential bro has done it all. On Rakshabandhan, we take a look at the things a B-Town bro definitely does…read on:

His sister is his world:
No matter how cruel he is, his laadli behen is his entire world. He will pamper her silly and sometimes his overly protective attitude will smother her too. In fact, most Hindi movies have this type of bro forbidding his sister from romancing the hero. But we still love him for being our bade bhaiyya, isn’t it?

He hates his sister’s lover:
Whether the brother is the villain or not is immaterial when it comes to the hero because he is anyway going to keep him in his radar. He will constantly pick fights with the hero, put him through various tests and eventually start accepting him as the best husband for his sister. But not before giving the poor guy hell.

He works in extremes:
The Bollywood bhai cannot be categorized as good or bad as he's either raging mad or saccharine sweet. Yes, the brothers work in extremes. Either they will die protecting their sister or be the reason she is on the verge of death. Take any Bolly movie and you’d know that we are hundred percent right.

Their character provides the twist in the tale:
That’s the most typical trait of the filmy bro as he forms the twist of the tale. From taking the story forward to giving the plot the right arch, he’s the man of the hour for sure. We couldn’t be more thankful to him because it’s his twist that brings the hero and heroine together… *happy dance*
