Filmmakers take their jobs so seriously that they go to almost any length to achieve that ‘perfect’ shot. Be it the right shade of hair color, accessories or even clothes, producers don’t think twice before spending a bomb on such things…we list out Bollywood’s five most extravagant spends…take a look:
Katrina Kaif’s Rs 55 lakh hair color:
Ms Kaif, in search of the perfect shade of red for her lustrous mane for Fitoor, zeroed in on a London-based hairstylist. You guessed it right, her jet setting between the two countries and plush stay, along with the hair color apparently cost the producers a whopping Rs 55 lakhs. And here we are feeling fancy about getting our hair blow dried. Sigh.
Akshay Kumar’s Rs 65 lakh turban:
Trust Akshay Kumar to do everything in style. The Khiladi actor sported a diamond-studded turban rumored to be worth Rs 65 lakhs in his sleeper hit Singh Is Bling. All hail the King!
Sonakshi Sinha’s Rs 75 lakh lehenga:
Who says Tevar was all about Arjun Kapoor, eh? It clearly was about Sonakshi Sinha, at least it should be…because the actress allegedly wore a lehenga costing upwards of Rs 75 lakhs in the song ‘Radha Naache Gi’. Whoa! Are you rethinking your wedding lehengas too? Yes? High five!
SRK’s Rs 1 Cr Ra.One suit:
Shah Rukh Khan’s gaming-inspired flick Ra.One was the talk of the town for many reasons, including Akon’s Chammak Challo, but it’s his body suit that’s giving us mini heart attacks. It supposedly cost Rs 1 cr. King Khan lives it up King size...what say?
Deepika Padukone’s Rs 45 lakh jewels:
Playing the half Persian-half Indian Mastani was no easy task, especially with all the heavy accessories Deepika Padukone had to lug around. The actress was believed to be wearing jewelry worth over Rs 45 lakhs for a particular scene. They were sourced from a heritage jewelry shop that designed custom pieces for the film.
