25 foreigners stopped from shooting at YRF Studios

As many as twenty five foreign dancers were stopped from taking part in a film shoot at the local Yash Raj Studios on the pretext that they had no valid visas to stay in the country. A by-stander at the studios reported that some people belonging to a political outfit Rashtriya Mazdoor Congress along with the local police stormed on the sets of Tips Industries’ Race 2 where a dance sequence was being picturised with some foreign dancers. Some people who stormed the sets claimed that the foreigners had no proper visas while some termed them as terrorists. When Tellychakkar.com approached Prem Singh Thakur, vice chairman of the Allied Mazdoor Union, he explained, “As it is the producer’s lot is peeved because of the car breaking incidents the other day and now after this, some have communicated with me to declare that henceforth they will not shoot in the city. Once you give them money that they want, the same people are legal residents of the country and are not terrorists. What kind of a protest is this? All this is to swindle money by force. I am of the view that with the growing menace in the city against film producers, the film industry should be brought to a standstill till things are solved,” observed Singh.
