MUMBAI: Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani is celebrating 11 years of its release. The romantic comedy is loved by the audience for many reasons, including the mesmerising chemistry between lead stars Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.

The film had amazing songs like Tu Jaane Na, Prem Ki Naiyya, Tera Hone Laga Hoon, and others. But did you know that RK was not the first choice for the film?

Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi first offered the role of Prem to Shahid Kapoor, but the actor thought that the character is quite similar to Aditya Kashyap, which he played in Jab We Met, so he declined the offer.

On the professional front, Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in Brahmastra, which is scheduled to release on December 4. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, and Nagarjuna Akkineni, with a special cameo by Shah Rukh Khan.
