After a lot of speculation, it is final that Akshay Kumar would team up with A R Murugadoss for the official remake of his film <em>Thuppakki</em>. The original is currently being shot with Tamil star Vijay and Kajal Agrawal.
The film will be produced by Vipul Shah. This will be Akshay's second remake after <em>Rowdy Rathore</em>.

The film will be produced by Vipul Shah. This will be Akshay's second remake after Rowdy Rathore.
It has come to light that Murugadoss has been planning a film with Akshay for a long time but things used to fizzle out before materialising. This will be Murugadoss’s next film after Aamir Khan’s Ghajini. The remake is scheduled to start in December.
The lead actress is yet to be finalised.
