MUMBAI: Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi is unstoppable at the box office. The film, which released on February 25, has been performing steadily at the box office. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed film crossed the Rs 100 crore milestone at the global box office after a week in theatres.
Alia has now teamed up with SS Rajamouli for another film. Alia will be soon seen in an extended cameo in SS Rajamouli’s RRR, co-starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan. According to a report, the actress has collaborated with the filmmaker for another big-budget pan India film, which will also star Mahesh Babu.
Talking about the same, a portal stated, "Over the last few months, SS Rajamouli and his father, KV Vijayendra Prasad, have been working on the screenplay of their next collaboration with Mahesh in the lead. They have developed several characters through this period, feel that Alia fits the bill to play the female lead. The duo also believes that the young actress will make a solid pairing with Mahesh."
Alia made her debut with Karan Johar’s directorial Student Of The Year, which released in 2012. She first appeared as a child artist in Saanransh (1999), directed by her father and ace director Mahesh Bhatt. She rose to fame with her portrayal in the road drama Highway (2014), which won her a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress, and the crime drama Udta Punjab (2016).
