Anees Bazmi is making The No Entry sequel first, Aankhen sequel later

Anees Bazmi is on an unprecedented high. Not only is he ready to go on the floors with his sequel to the 2005 hit comedy No Entry he is all set to do a sequel to the 1993 hit Aankhen which featured Govinda and Chunky Pandey as two wastrels and their antics across blunderland. The sequel entitled Aankhen Chaar will feature the same main characters as well as the same supporting characters, though some of the actors would be different.

Informs Anees, “Actually the delay in the sequel to No Entry Mein Entry gave me a chance to not only polish up the script for No Entry Mein Entry it also gave me an opportunity to write the Aankhen sequel.” Anees is kicked by the fact that Aankhen is remembered to this day. “It was released in 1993. Audiences haven’t forgotten it. So the producer Pehlaj Nihalnaiji and I thought a sequel was a good idea .Fortunately for me, I had written Aankhen (though I hadn’t directed it). So I know the characters very well. It was easy for me to carry them forward.” Though the writer-director is loath to reveal too many details he does let out that Aankhen Chaar would have some of the characters playing double role. The same would be true of No Entry Mein Entry where Salman Khan and some other characters would have double roles. Promises Anees, “Though both are comedies and both have characters in double roles I can assure you there would be no similarity between the sequels to No Entry and Aankhen. Also, there would be no hint of vulgarity in my films at all. No double meanings, except the title Aankhen Chaar which refers to the double roles for some of the characters and also the process of falling in love which is often give the definition of ‘aankhen chaar hona’. That apart, I want both the sequels to be clean comedies that a father can comfortably watch with his daughter. In any case Salmanbhai has a clean image. He wouldn’t bear any innuendos. So we’re on the same page on that. This is first double role since Judwaa and we want his younger fans to love the film as much as Judwaa.” Rubbishing reports that Salman Khan has decided to move forward plans of doing the No Entry sequel producer Boney Kapoor confirms that the superstar is all set to begin work on No Entry Mein Entry. Says Boney, “Salman will be doing his brother Sohail Khan’s film. Then he will go into my film and Sajid Nadiadwala’s film Kick.”
