Ankit Tiwari dodges question on rape case

Singer Ankit Tiwari who has been accused of allegedly raping his former girlfriend is making an effort to regain his lost reputation post his release from prison on bail. And helping him in his endeavour to make a comeback after the rape slur are the makers of Ek Villain. Immediately after his release, Ankit was made a part of Ek Villain's promotions and was seen belting out his chartbusting number Galiyaan at a mall in Mumbai. The young singer however stayed low after his performance not wanting to attract too much unwanted attention from the media. Yesterday, at Ek Villain's success press conference, Ankit made an appearance along with the other star cast of the movie. Sporting a pony tail, Ankit looked smart in a white sleeveless jacket. He even belted out a few lines of Galiyaan along with actress Shraddha Kapoor. But the singer was in no mood to comment on his rape case When we quizzed him on the lack of Bollywood support when he was jail, Ankit clammed up and refused to answer any queries relating to the same. "I am happy to be present here to celebrate Ek Villain's success and wouldn't like to take questions that are not related to the event," said Ankit and refused to comment any further when we probed him for a response. Ankit's now gearing up to fight a long legal battle to prove his innocence when the trial begins in court.
