MUMBAI: Nepotism in Bollywood has once again become a topic of discussion on social media, and it was reignited after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Amid social media outrage, star kids and Bollywood biggies are facing the heat on social media. Celebrities such as Kangana Ranaut have openly opposed nepotism right from the start. Now, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap was asked what he would do if his daughter Aaliyah chose to be an actor and wanted to make a debut in Bollywood.

In an interview with NDTV, Anurag Kashyap said that if his daughter Aaliyah wants to be an actor, she would have to work and struggle for it. “She’s an adult, she has to choose, but definitely she has to learn. She can’t wake up one day and say ‘I want to be an actor’,” said Anurag Kashyap. He further elaborated, "If she wants to do it, she has to struggle for it and go and audition for it and win a role somewhere.”
He also said he doesn’t think he writes movies for someone like her, who is an urban kid. “I don't think I write movies which are so urban where she will fit in. She's an urban kid; she's not a street kid like me."
