MUMBAI: Abhishek Kapoor, known for crafting compelling narratives, recently treated the audiences with a never-seen-before periodic spectacle, 'Azaad'. While the filmmaker is basking in the overwhelming response to the film, he conducted an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on his social media and delved into the film's details. Right from conceptualising the film to getting the script ready, Abhishek Kapoor revealed it all!
"Azaad, as an idea, has been with me since my childhood, but we wrote the script in 2016, and I finally got the chance to make it now and release it in 2025. It's been a long time to live with the story, but it's very satisfying to have it come to life eventually," shared the director.
With 'Azaad', Abhishek Kapoor launched two fresh faces in Bollywood - Rasha Thadani and Aaman Devgan. The new on-screen duo marked a stellar entry in Bollywood and captivated the audiences with their screen presence and peppy songs. Though 'Azaad' performed decently at the box office, it received positive reviews from the audiences and critics.
