Bang Bang Song: Hrithik's ode to Michael Jackson

Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan
Fasten your seatbelts fellas for India's demi-god and dancing superstar has decided to finally pay his tribute to the King of Pop, he who moonwalks like nobody, the late Michael Jackson. In the title track of Bang Bang released yesterday, Hrithik effortlessly combines his chiselled-to-perfection body and sublime dance moves to create what can be easily called magic. Supporting him in the endeavour is the tune of Bang Bang which has been tweaked towards the fag end to sound similar to Michael Jackson's Love Never Felt So Good from his album Xscape. Donning a fedora hat, an unbuttoned black shirt and shiny black pants, Hrithik's seen standing still, both arms up in air, back towards the camera and arc lights above hallowing his entry much like the late King of Pop. Soon a crew of background dancers join in and Hrithik breaks into Michael Jackson's signature dance steps displaying elastic pelvic thrusts and nimble footed dance moves. Katrina soon joins him but the poor lady is clearly dwarfed by the charismatic Hrithik who clearly is at his best while paying ode to Michael Jackson through this video. The only step missing was the trademark 'moonwalk' which Hrithik is not seen performing in the video. Perhaps he is saving the best for some other day. Talking about dancing to Michael's iconic dance moves, Hrithik said, "I have idolised Michael Jackson since the time I first moved to a dance beat. I remember learning the moves through play pause mode for hours. I love his style and energy so when Bosco (choreographer) and Siddharth said Micheal Jackson, at first, I thought there's no way I could match up, but then I reframed that and did it for my own love for him in my own style, my own way and where there is love, there is no fear. That made it fun. The Bang Bang title track itself is outstanding which empowered me further. It's my ode to the inspiration he has been. This is an out-an-out dance/party track. It's high on glamour, scale and Katrina and I have danced our hearts out." The most excited of the lot however was director Siddharth Anand who said, "This is the song I have been waiting for audiences to see and hear! It's an outstanding song! Things don't get much better than this!" We can't agree more. To watch the video, follow the link below:
