MUMBAI: We love Hindi films and it has a lot to offer – be it drama, love stories, actions, thriller or any other genre. Movies are not all about what it earns even though it has been said by many artists in interviews at times that the core deciding factor for if the movie worked or not is the collection that it made. However, the audience sometimes discovers a movie later and gives it the kind of love that it did not receive even at the time of its release.
While these cases exist, there are also times when the audience gives an amazing reaction to the movie but at the same time or later on, gives a response that even though the movie was good, the climax could’ve been better. We are here with 5 such movies that, according to the audience, could’ve had a better ending. Check out the list below:
Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji
Madhur Bhandarkar is one of the most respected directors who catered some really unique movies like Page 3, Fashion, Traffic Signal and many more. One of his unique movies was Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, starring Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Omi Vaidya, Shazahn Padamsee, Shruti Haasan, Tisca Chopra, and Shraddha Das. While the audience really enjoyed the movie, they were not really so satisfied with the climax and some even suggested the boys should’ve got the girls they were chasing.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
Directed by Karan Johar, this movie was loved for the on-screen pairing of Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma and even though the movie was loved by the audience, there were many in the audience who did not like the cancer part of the climax as they felt it was too sudden and should’ve ended in a more satisfactory way.
Tanu Weds Manu Returns
Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, this is one of the most loved movies and also holds importance as it was a successful sequel movie. However, there are many in the audience who suggested that the makers had an opportunity to break the stereotype in the end and show the fact that if there is no compatibility in the marriage and it isn’t working out then that should’ve been shown clearly rather than choosing a happy ending.
Cocktail
This is one of the best movies coming from Imtiaz Ali and the audience loved this world that he had created. The emotions were truly conveyed but a lot of people in the audience had the feel of dissatisfaction due to the way the movie ended. The audience felt that while the movie was trying to show a unique point of modernity, in the end Saif Ali Khan still goes with Diana Penty, which was his mother’s choice, instead of going with Deepika Padukone, who was much more compatible.
Bodyguard
Directed by Siddique, this is one of the most memorable Salman Khan movie that featured Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan as leads. The movie was truly loved and it was really entertaining but the climax of the movie was not so satisfying for a lot of people in the audience and it gave a ‘Kuch bhi’ moment to them.
