After numerous rumours and will-they-won't-they, one of B-Town’s coolest lovebirds, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif have parted ways. Yes, Ran-Kat is over.
The then much-in-love couple even shared a plush apartment in the suburbs of Mumbai, but has been having issues in their romance ever since RK went on a publicity tour with ex-flame Deepika Padukone, says a popular website. In fact, Ranbir Kapoor moved out the love pad last week, while Kat flew to Delhi for a promotional tour.
According to a popular gossip website, "The two have officially parted ways. Three days back, RK moved out of their Carter Road flat with all his bag and baggage. Katrina soon flew off to Delhi to promote Fitoor. This is it for them. They have tried making it work for far too long but things weren’t falling in place for them. Both of them have made peace with the fact that the relationship is not headed anywhere and their differences can’t be resolved. For the last few months, there has been a lot of tension between them. Ranbir’s proximity with Deepika during the promotions of Tamasha didn’t go down well with Katrina."
When rumours of their breakup started making the rounds in December last year, the two shunned the gossip-mongers by posing together for a picture at RK's annual Christmas lunch.
If you fans remember, RK and Deepika were going great guns when the former cheated on DP with Katrina Kaif on the sets of Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani.
So when the former lovers united for the promotions of their recently released flick Tamasha, Kat apparently become insecure. Ranbir and Deepika, who make a sizzling pair on and off screen, were the talk of the town for their aggressive promotional tours, which was not taken kindly by Kat.
RanKat's hush-hush affair has always been media fodder. From their romantic holidays to leaked personal pictures to their moving-in-together, they have been in the limelight for more reasons than their respective film careers. In fact, the IT couple of Bollywood were even rumored to be walking down the aisle in 2016.
If you diehard RK-DP fans are hoping for a reunion of the former lovers, let us tell you that DP and her Bajirao are going stronger than ever.
Will RanKat’s break-up be messy? Considering how they still have portions of Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jassoos left to be filmed, things could get icky between the duo. Interestingly, RK’s cousin Kareena Kapoor shot for Jab We Met with her ex-boyfriend Shahid Kapoor after their public break-up.
We will leave you with this quote from Kat’s recent interview, "My greatest fear is that if and when I get married and I am standing at the altar or the mandap, he (Ranbir) may not love me completely. That he may not know his mind well enough to be making those commitments. The anticipation of heartbreak is my only fear."
