A Ukrainian serial prankster named Vitalii Sediuk who has a history of attacking celebs on red carpet struck again at Maleficent’s premiere at Los Angeles yesterday night. And this time his object of violence was none other than Brad Pitt. Brad was attending the LA premiere of his partner Angelina Jolie’s new film, Maleficent and was busy signing autographs when Vitalii leaped over the crowd barriers to reach Brad. He then punched the actor in his face. Security officers immediately intervened and pinned down the attacker before he could do any further harm. Thankfully, Brad escaped unhurt and continued signing autographs and completed the rest of the proceedings without any fuss. Vitalii, who is believed to be 25, has been apprehended a number of times for trying to make unruly contact with celebrities. Will Smith once slapped him when he tried kissing the actor. More recently he was caught when he allegedly tried to crawl inside actress America Ferrera’s gown at the Cannes Film Festival. Vitalii was booked yesterday on charges of battery and is being held on $20,000 bail. Let’s hope the man is taught a good lesson which will prevent any untoward incident.
